Deleting your Remind account and data

Here you can read how to submit a request to have your account and associated data deleted.


1. How to submit a deletion request?


You can have your Remind account deleted in one way:

Via the online form

  1. Go to: **http://www.remindbrainhealth.com/deletemyaccountform**.

  2. Fill in the deletion form with:

    • the email address with which you are registered in Remind

  3. Confirm that you want to have your account and all associated data deleted.

  4. Submit your request.


After receiving your request:

  • you will receive a confirmation via email

  • we generally complete the deletion within 30 days

  • we will let you know once the deletion is executed


2. What data is deleted?


When your account is deleted, we generally delete the following categories of personal data from our active systems:

  • Account information

    • Name

    • Email address

    • Year of birth and other profile information you have filled in the app

  • App usage and brain health data

    • Results of your memory assessments and other cognitive assessments

    • Results from your lifestyle questionnaires (e.g., exercise, sleep, nutrition)

    • Scores, trends, and indices that we display in the app (e.g., “brain age”)

  • Communication data

    • Messages exchanged with our support team, to the extent they are linked to your account

  • Technical app data (linked to your account)

    • Device IDs or internal user IDs that we use to link your data to your account


After completing the deletion, you can only create a new account with the same email address as a new user; your old data will no longer be available.


3. What data do we retain (temporarily) longer – and why?


In some cases, we are required to retain certain data longer, even if you delete your account. We always do this limitedly and with a clear reason:

  • Financial records

    • Data related to payments, invoices, and subscriptions

    • Retention period: up to 7 years after the relevant fiscal year

    • Reason: legal administration and tax obligations

  • Security and logs

    • Technical logs necessary to investigate abuse, fraud, and security incidents

    • Retention period: up to 12–24 months

    • After which these data are deleted or anonymized

  • Anonymized or aggregated data

    • Some data we use for statistics and research in a fully anonymized form (no longer traceable to you as a person).

    • These data are not considered personal data anymore and are therefore not deleted with your account.


We never retain more personal data than necessary, and never longer than required by law and regulation.


4. What happens if you only delete the app?


Simply deleting the app from your phone or tablet does not mean your account and data are automatically deleted.

  • Your data will then remain available in our systems.

  • If you want us to delete your data, please follow the steps under “How to submit a deletion request?” on this page.


5. Processing time and confirmation

  • We process your request as quickly as possible, no later than 30 days.

  • If we need additional information to verify your identity (e.g., for your privacy protection), we will contact you.

  • Once we have deleted your account, you will receive a confirmation via email.
